One Phone Can Legitimately Have Both Apps
An H-E-B Partner can be two things at the same time:
an employee;
and an H-E-B customer.
That is why seeing both PartnerNet and My H-E-B on the same phone is not redundant.
The applications serve different identities.
PartnerNet: employee context
H-E-B’s official PartnerNet app listing describes it as an application for H-E-B Partners.
H-E-B careers content says PartnerNet can help employees manage schedules and related work activity.
The application therefore belongs to the Partner’s work relationship.
My H-E-B: customer context
H-E-B’s public My H-E-B page describes the customer app around:
- grocery pickup;
- delivery;
- digital coupons;
- weekly ads;
- shopping lists;
- product-location assistance.
That is a consumer shopping relationship.
The easiest comparison
| Task | PartnerNet | My H-E-B |
| Employee work resources | Yes, employee context | No |
| Work schedule context | Yes | No |
| H-E-B grocery shopping | No | Yes |
| Digital customer coupons | No | Yes |
| Pickup/delivery orders | No | Yes |
| Partner employment login | Employee system | Customer account is different |
| VPP card connection | VPP information may be in PartnerNet; card links to My H-E-B account | Customer-side account used for VPP card linking |
H-E-B’s VPP page specifically says the VPP card can be linked to a My H-E-B.com account, while additional VPP information is available through PartnerNet.
That is a perfect example of the two systems touching the same employee benefit from different sides.
Why login confusion happens
A Partner may remember:
“I have an H-E-B account.”
But that statement is incomplete.
A customer account and a work identity do not necessarily use the same authentication process.
Current H-E-B Partner access information directs US Partners toward OnePass for relevant work applications.
My H-E-B has its own customer-account support process.
VPP sits between the two worlds
Valued Partner Perks belong to employment.
But the Partner card can interact with the shopping account.
H-E-B currently says the VPP card may be linked to one My H-E-B account and tells Partners to protect the relevant login.
This does not turn My H-E-B into PartnerNet.
It means an employee perk is being used in a customer transaction.
Keep troubleshooting separate
If:
your work schedule is missing → PartnerNet/work system issue.
If:
your curbside order is wrong → customer service/My H-E-B issue.
If:
your VPP card will not link → VPP/customer-account context.
If:
your OnePass work credentials fail → Partner access context.
Routing the problem correctly is usually more useful than searching “H-E-B app not working.”
The security benefit of knowing the difference
Phishing works better when users are unsure which account they are supposed to be using.
Knowing that PartnerNet and My H-E-B are separate reduces the chance of entering employee credentials into a consumer-looking page or customer credentials into a fake employee page.
Two apps from one company can be perfectly legitimate.
They just need to be understood correctly.
